How To Enable Alexa Announcement, Drop-in, Alexa Calling And Messaging features in 2020

Have you ever been in a situation where you are sitting in the living room while your kids are upstairs in their room, and you will like to pass a piece of information to them, so you speak at the top of your voice hoping there hear you?

Well, we all have experienced that once or twice in our life, but thankfully Amazons Alexa has a feature called Drop-in And Announcements that can help send messages to echo devices around our home.

It gives users the ability to use Alexa more like an intercom in our home, and we can even use Alexa to make calls and send messages to friends and family.

Although drop-in and announcements are almost similar, drop-in is for sending messages to a single Echo device, for example, sending a message to your living room speaker to turn down the volume of the TV.

While Announcement is for broadcasting a message to all linked Echo devices in your home. For example, dinner is ready!

In this post, I will be guiding you on how to enable Drop-in, Announcement, as well as Alexa calling and messaging service. Well, Let’s start with the Alexa announcement feature.
