How To Factory Reset Google Smart Speakers And Smart Displays

The Google Assistant has found its way into thousands of homes around the world, mainly through its array of smart speakers and smart displays. While it can still be found on devices like phones, smart TV, and sound system, I am sure most of us use smart speakers or smart display more.

For every smart speaker or smart display, it comes a time when the owner decides to replace to a more recent version. And since you won’t be using the device anymore, keeping your personal information like address, credit card details, contact, and commands history is a huge data mistake.

And since most of us might end up giving out our old smart speaker or display to family members, friends, or neighbors. Performing a Factory reset on the smart speaker or display that wipes all settings and saved data won’t be a bad idea, in turn, ensuring your peace of mind that no one is using your card to order shoes online.

Being an electronic device, it common for smart speakers and display to run into issues or problems once in a while. Most times, a quick rebook may fix the issue, but on rear cases, you have no option, but to perform a hard reset on the Google smart speaker or display.
