How To Hard Reset Ring Doorbells And Chime Quickly

If you are having issues with your ring doorbell and you tried to troubleshoot it, but it didn’t work. Then you can consider performing a hard reset on your doorbell to erase all saved settings to the factory default settings.

How To Hard Reset The Doorbell:

1: before resetting your doorbell, you will need to make sure it is hardwired, or you have inserted the battery.

2: You need to loosen it from the wedge with a screw and turn the back. Where you will see the orange reset button of the doorbell.

3: After that, you should press and hold the button for 15 secs.

4: when you release the orange button, the ring at the front of the doorbell should flash a couple of times, indicating that it is restarting.

5: After that, your doorbell is now restored to its factory settings.

How To Hard Reset The Doorbell 2:

1: before resetting your doorbell 2, you will need to make sure it is hardwired, or you have inserted the battery.

2: the reset button is hidden under the doorbell’s faceplate, so you will need to remove it first and then located the black reset button at the front of the camera.

1: before resetting your doorbell Pro, you will need to make sure it is wired and switched on.

2: the reset button is located under faceplate, so you will need to remove it first. Then Locate the black reset button placed on the right side of the Device.

3: press and hold the button for 15 secs.

4: When you release the black reset button, The ring around the button at the front should flash a couple of times, indicating that it is restarting.

5: And your doorbell pro is now restored to its factory settings.

How To Hard Reset The Ring Doorbell Elite:

1: you will first need to remove the face-plate for your doorbell elite. Then located the black reset button placed at the top right of the Device.

3: press and hold the button for 15 secs.

4: when you release the black reset button, The ring at the front should flash a few times, indicating that it is restarting.

5: and your ring doorbell elite is now restored to its factory settings.

How To Hard Reset The Chime and Chime pro:

1: Make sure you plug the chime or chime Pro into a power outlet.

2: Then located the tiny pinhole at the right side of both devices.

3: Use a pin or paperclip press the button inside the pinhole.

4: Press and hold it for 15 secs.

5: The light at the bottom of the Device should flash a few times. Indicating that is it resetting.

6: And now your chime or chime pro is restored to its factory settings

How To Remove Devices From Your Ring Account:

1: Open the ring app, and a carousel of your active devices will appear at the top.

4: You will see a large REMOVE DEVICE button at the button. Click it, and the Device will be removed from your account.
